Default pushrod question (conflicting answers)

Hi guys. Have a few quick questions that I've gotten conflicting answers on.

#1
Pushrods have a large enough tolerance that you can be a tenth off?

#2
Pushrod length has no effect of valve timing with hydrolic lifters?

#3
Ls1 and ls2 cam gear is the same gear. And can be used on a ls1 block? No difference in teeth count ?

Basically hearing things going back and fourth with those questions.

#1 - True. I measured all 16 locations, and then during reinstall, I measured all 16 pushrods. I put the longer ones and shorter ones in the best places to even out the preloads.

#2 - False. If the preload is way long or way short it can open valves sooner or later than planned or even not let them close fully. Off by .010 on LS7 lifters, probably no big deal. Of by .010 on short travels? probably trouble.

#3 - True. The LS2 cam gear is set up for a front reluctor, but can be installed on the LS1 with no issues. In fact, it is a popular upgrade due to the beefier chain. I like the Cloyes 3220 for the combination of strength and price, and the lack of adjustment.
