Is this lifters ticking? I built a 5.3 turbo for my RX8 and everything was running well until I came back from a test run and it developed a tick.
Is this a lifter problem? It is loudest on the drivers side and almost sounds like it is from the intake manifold.
Any help would be appreciated

Well if anyone was curious, this is the sound of a rod bearing.
It made is for one short run, got louder, started squealing and seized.
This is the second motor I have lost rod bearings on in a short time period. I guess it is time to do a full build on one.
