Cool

On the AFR website it says:Cam-224/228 @.050 .581 Lift.

LG's results should be interesting tomorrow.

This makes me kind of glad I've not been able to invest in a set of ported stock heads.

Any track times, particularly trap speeds for the car that dynoed 470? Looks promising, can't wait to see the 225's on a stroker

Thank you for a very informative post and congratulations on what looks to be a top notch product ..... and oh yeah ... I'd like to pre-apologize for the whiny, crybaby, negative "we're all gonna die" types that will surely invade and infect this post with their incessant bitching once again. Rest assured that most of us are as tired of them ruining posts as you must be

Tony. Thank you very much for the update as I am sure everyone here on LS1Tech is interested in what these heads do and excited to see them released.

I really hope the heads are 2 steps up from the current lineup we already have.
In all honesty even if your off the shelf heads were only a little better then what AS, TEA, PP etc offer it would still be a very good product for the money deal.
It is awsome the price was lowered.

"Better porting gurus do their magic" ????

I think Rick at AFR has done very well in hiring Tony to develop and bring these heads to market.

From all the data available, I really can't see anything wrong with his port work what so ever... No one else out there has this kind flow through an LS1 intake port with only a 205 cc runner volume...

Your comment makes me curious...

Besides, if big numbers float your boat...why not just wait for him to finish up the 225's? That is if you think you need more cylinder head...

Seems like people forget or don't know that Tony wears two hats at AFR, Sales Manager and Port Development. His card says Sales/R&D. So comments like "can't wait until a talented head ported gets his hands on them" are a giant insult to Tony. I think he designed the BBC heads and some of the larger port Ford heads that AFR sells as well. Great job Rick and Tony! If you run the numbers most of them outflow the competitiors and have smaller port volumes.
Ok, enough AFR worship! Tony, have my heads shipped yet?
