"LS2" with 317 Heads?
However, the guy is a dirtbag. Guarantee he knows what engines in it, because doesn't he have supposedly "ls crazy techs" that work for him?
No I don't think it's anything worth going to court over, but he does need a square punch in the nose, and then you could call it even.
So sick of people taking advantage of people.
The sad thing is I am not the person to typically be taken advantage of. I walked away from a number of other cars because I didn't like the feeling I got from talking to the owner/dealer. I usually have a pretty good perception about people's honesty, so I am surprised he lied. It was purely just my forgetfulness of not checking the head numbers before I bought the car, because I had told myself to do so before I drove to take a look at it.
At this point it is what it is. I still want to talk to the guy just to see what he says, but I am not going to make a big deal about it if he just says "tough". The car is still fun, and is in good shape overall.
However, being a LQ9 is really better all around other then from a weight perspective compared to the LS1. Better heads, higher compression then the LS1, and a little more displacement. So I am pretty happy, just glad its not a LQ4. I think I will still try to look at the serial number again when I get a chance to be sure, but for now I am going to go with that it is an LQ9.
