Default Difference between 'Complete' heads on Maryland Speed?

So, I'm looking at a set of AFR 205 heads. Maryland Speed has two listings, a Complete set listed here: http://marylandspeed.com/afr-205cc-m...10-p-2221.html

And a 'No parts' set listed here:
http://marylandspeed.com/afr-205cc-m...20-p-2222.html

I just called their customer service and the rep couldn't tell me what those parts may be. Does anyone have any idea? I cant tell if these are things just to make the install easier such as certain tools or actual parts for the heads I'd need to use the things- and apparently their customer service doesn't know either.

The basic package components lists are the same. Hmm... But there's $400 worth of unlisted parts with the complete kit.

I don't know what to tell you.

Call them back, and hopefully you get to speak to a more knowledgeable customer service representative, or at least someone who is willing to find out the difference for you.

Whoever you talked to the first time was a lazy bum.

Bare heads means nothing in them (no springs, retainers, seals, valves etc).

You would have to buy your own spring kit and valves then install them yourself.

You would do a lot better to call Tony Mamo and talk to someone that actually does the heads and can give you more bang for your buck. I've dealt with Maryland Speed and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. They were difficult to work with and gave me no confidence that they knew what they were doing.

AFR doesn't even make 205's anymore.....they haven't made them in four years....maybe even longer.

I can help you purchase any AFR head or consider spending a little more for my latest design, the MMS 220 heads (still using AFR castings and machining) which I consider the ultimate head for any 346 street or strip LS project. I spent a ton of time designing and perfecting this latest program.

Lots of info on this site but here is one of the more popular threads discussing all their information (pics etc.)

And no parts btw is just that....you will need springs and all the hardware, valves, seals, etc. Its just bare machined castings

Anything worth doing is worth doing well. Build it right the first time....its alot cheaper than building it twice!!
