Question Procedure for checking push rods.. Help please.

Hey all. Whats the proper procedure for checking the push rods. Right now I have the drivers side valve cover off. Do I just loosen the rocker arms enough to pull out the push rod? And when I'm done.. do I just torque down the rocker arm to spec. I don't want to f**k anything up!

Now all you have to do is completely unbolt the rocker arm and pull out the pushrod. You can tell if it's bent by just visually inspecting it, but to be completely sure, just roll it on a flat surface like you would a pool stick. Then to put it all together, just torque the rocker arm bolts down to 24 ft/lbs (If I remember correctly) and bolt everything else back up.

Question

22ft/lbs would be 29.83 newton meters correct. 22ft/lbs X 1.356= 29 NM Don't ask the only torque wrench I have is in Newton meters. Could anything get screwed up by not doing everything at TDC?
