Default Coolant level dropping or air bubbles?

I recently added a cam and intake and supporting mods to my 99 z28. Car haso 85000 miles on it and was all stock prior. I did a ls6 intake with the rear block off coolant crossover and front ls6 crossover tubes. During cam swap I obviously had to remove water pump and radiator so I know I got a bunch of air in the system but I have driven it multiple times and about 500 miles since the swap and tune and every time after it cools down and check antifreeze it is about an inch below the cap. Am I just slowly working air bubbles out or do I have a head gasket leak? I don't smell coolant, no leaks and no white smoke. Oil is clean and during valvetrain swap the inside of the motor was spotless. Any help is appreciated.

Are you checking the actual radiator cap or the reservoir?

And honestly I would worry about that too much. As long as it doesn't show any signs of over heating I say it's fine.
