Doing a trunion upgrade and was looking over the rocker arm, specifically the pushrod cup. What are your opionions on how they look. I thought they looked fine until I saw the Tech Corvettecentral pictures. Mine definitely not as bad but I'm wondering if everyone else looked at this when they decided to KEEP their stock rockers. These have 58k miles on completely stock engine.





Second question on cleaning up block surface....using gasket cleaner, plastic razors, brake cleaner etc. Spent some time but still have coloring....they feel very smooth though. I don't think I can get more off unless using abrasives (haven't yet). Tried small area with real razor didn't help. Is this what peoples looked like when done?

 

That actually looks good. Rockers look fine as well
