Default question about using used rods

So, new to the forum. Got a 4.8l i'm gonna bore to 5.7 Ls1 spec. I got a set of Ls1 pistons and rods of a corvette guy local. Issue is the rods have a fair amount of surface rust maybe more accumulated on them.
I'm using Chem-dip to rid the rust, but want to know if I should have them bored .010 over for GP. Or should I go ahead and use std size?
Haven't picked up a stock 5.3/5.7 crank yet for my 4.8 block. So their could be a scenario where I'm using a .010 under crank with a .010 under rod. would that be an issue? I'm sure bearings exist for that. But is it a worry free deal?

Thanks ahead for you knowledge.

A .010 under bearing is for when the crank is ground .010' undersized, not the housing bores opened up .010". You can hone the rods .002" larger on the big end bores and there is a bearing for that. You might as well use ARP bolts if you do though.

There's nothing wrong with using a .010" under crank either. I've done it before, and I have done the same for my most recent build.

Thanks for the info.
So when I hit the machine shop I just tell them to hone the rods .002 over? The issue is sever surface rust that doesn't go away on the rods. Even after a night in Chem-dip.
If the rods are honed .002 whats the nomenclature on the bearings? will it state on .002 over?
Thanks again.

Yeah, Clevite makes a bearing PN 1776-P, which I believe is a light duty type bearing. ACL makes a high performance bearing, but I forget the PN. They're in the latest catalogs.

OK good stuff,
Now what if I don't get my Crankshaft ground .010 under. Just the Rods Honed .002 and the Crankshaft Polished.
Is their a STD sized bearing with for a rod honed .002 out?
Couldn't find a Clevite P bearing with a std size for honed rods on Google.
