Default Pulling injection for carb will it affect cam

I recently built a lq4 for my 66 nova project stick bottom end 243 heads dual springs tick ls2 sns stage two cam, now that it's time to drop in engine I've been considering putting a carb on as it would be a easier build without the efi. My question is will a carb make the cam performance different over running efi, and is a 700r my best option for a o.d auto tranny

I don't think it will hurt anything, but I think a different cam would be better suited for the carb manifold.

I have not purchased a intake yet but I was considering a victor junior or a edelbrock dual plane

Either one would probably like a different cam than what the plastic EFI manifolds like.

This.

Due to the difference in runner length and overall plenum/intake volume.

That camshaft actually will work with any of those manifolds. That is not always true, but this cam is a very versatile grind.

If you have a 3000 stall or lower, I would use the dual plane manifold. It will bolster the low RPM torque and make superior off idle performance.

With a stall greater than 3000 RPM, I would choose the single plane intake. It will improve higher RPM performance from 5000 RPM up.

I think the cam you have will work slightly better with the dual plane overall.

Thanks for the info tick said to run a 35-3600 stall I was planning on a dual plane intake because I don't plan on running high Rpms a lot
