Default Who Sells a Good Cheap Engine Stand??

I need to pick one up, I'm sure some work better with the LS1 than others . . . any suggestions? Locations, prices? Harbor Freight has 3 models, starting at $40.

I bought one of Harbor Freight's 1000 Lb. rated ones, it was on sale for $39 here in Las Vegas. I was told to stay away from their 750 Lb. model, they tend to collapse under a 400 Lb. load.

The 1000 Lb. one is good enough to hold an LS1/6 with no problems though.

That's a damn good price for an engine 'CRADLE' but a cradle and an engine stand are not the same thing AFAIK.

The cradle is just a low to the ground cart for storing an engine and rolling it around the shop floor. Not for working on it from. At least that was my understanding. I bought an engine cradle from Summit and paid like $57.00 for it, so your price is sure a good one. Just depends on what the man wants, a stand (upright, to bolt the engine to and work on) Or, the low slung cradle for just moving it around with no possible tipping it over or collapse under the weight.
