Default Gas in my intake . . . what does this mean ?

Just pulled my intake to replace a faulty knock sensor. Theres a light coat of gas all over the inside of the TB and intake . . . . any ideas ??

I was getting midfire codes with the new cam and iw was running like a bag with 9 - 12 degrees of timing at wot ( see a few threads down ) . I was just going to replace the knock sensor when the smell of gas almost knocked me over

How bad is this ?? Another problem or is this also from random missfiring and **** poor timing ??

Any advice / help would be great .
