I waited over 6 weeks for mine .They make great hp. Now with a year and a half of trouble free driving on them I got more than my moneys worth and it was well worth my wait. Ofcourse If I wanted low power #`s and broken springs and possibly drop a valve seats I could have gotten a pair in a week. But I doubt I would have been as satisfied. But what the hell do I know.

Im sure Jay is gonna be really upset he isnt getting your business.
Sure jay could hire someone to answer his phone for him. I actually asked why he hasnt. He said he would rather deal directly with each customer even if there is a wait sometimes. This way they are dealing with the the owner of the business the guy who is working on there heads. Since he is busy porting all day there are alot of times he cannot hear the phone ring.
BTW his customer service is excellent!!! just ask a customer.

Dont start out on a bad foot. You seem to be doing so already....

Jays heads are the top dog. He has proven himself and the LS1 community that his heads are worth the wait. He tailors them to your specific combo so youre not getting an off the shelf standard head. Custom stuff takes time and hes a very busy man and he personally does each head, not a shop with many employees that touch them.

Well worth the wait.

here's my next post - get ready to jump on it. Isn't interesting that I got a response out of Aboslute Speed in LESS than ONE DAY?? And they aren't holding any of MY money. You guys sound like you are begging for a response to your E-mails and "numerous" voice mails AND they DO have YOUR money. Think about that awhile befor you start jumping on my post - don't you see something WRONG with that?? Is ANYONE out there getting the point yet? Please excuse my fustration but sometimes I feel these posts go out into the twilight zone. If I DIDN'T think these were GREAT heads I would not have had them on my short list. But ther's more to "being the best" than product quality - there's a thing called CUSTOMER SERVICE and CUSTONER RESPONSE.That's called Business 101. So some wiseass E-mail that pisses you of should not get responded to befor you take care of your customers !!! I'll start working up my next post for your amusement after lunch.

3 posts all knocking absolute speed. I think you might do better looking into the other heads with your time and dont be so worried about a company your not going to be dealing with.

Come on guys,dont ruin the post,all I wanted to know is how long people have waited for the heads.Im not bitching about the time it takes,I know it would be longer when i ordered them. BTW 99vette if you do some research about AS,you will see that Jay does take care of his customers,just another of the many reasons I went with them.

It is true that it took some time for JAY to get back to me. The point is though that he did get back to me and talked to me on what is/was going on ....

As far as customer service, Jay also did work with me through numerous spring changes (since I couldn't make up my mind for 977's or 978's) ... I also sent him my cam and he did some extra work for me by putting it on his mock up motor to check P/V etc ...

Anyway .. would I have liked to have my heads in 4 - 5 weeks .. sure, would I have liked a little faster responce? sure ... did I catch Jay at a bad time .. YES ... alot of orders and moving a shop .... it happens ...

I know though .. when I get the heads, I'll have a quality product that JAY will back ....

Just my 2 cents ..

Waited right around 2 1/2 months. I was told 4 weeks. BUT..it was definitely worth the wait. I couldn't be happier with these heads.

I would rather wait 2 or 3 months for a set of Jays heads that you know are going to work good, I`m not (patriot)ic enough to deal with all the problems of another vendors product. Jay has been hard to get in touch with at times but I do understand how busy he is and he just got finished moving his shop( thats very time consuming). Jay is also a friendly guy and is very into cars like most of us.
