About 2 weeks ago I couldn't track down a miss fire problem. In the process I replaced both knock sensors, MAP, and the cam position sensor. Didnt help, and the only other thing I could think of is the MAF. I replaced a granatelli with the stock maf, kept it screened. Thought it was fixed but turned out to be water leaking on a coil pack. Anyway, since then ive noticed what feels like a loss of power. Before the problem I could get to about 60-63 mph in first. Now it only gets to about 50. Is the maf the problem? I got the car with the gmaf so it was probably tuned with it. Could the smaller maf be causing it to rich out?

I don't have an answer, but I was curious what gears you're running that you can run it to 63mph in 1st gear? With 2.73's mine shifted at 55 and by the time it hit second it was at 60mph shifting @6500 rpm's. If you have gears higher than 2.73's like 3.23's or 3.42's, I'd say you were spinning the motor pretty high to reach that mph in 1st. Did you check your plugs to see what they looked like? Any oil on any of them? Also, you said water was getting on one of your coil packs?

They're stock 3.42 from the factory with a t56. Honestly it was probably closer to 59-60. Redlines at 6500. Oh I also did plugs and wires, I got tr55's assuming thats what was in there, but there were tr6's. I went ahead and put the 55s in thinking it wouldn't make that much of a difference not running any nitrous. Yes water was leaking into my engine bay when it rained and drained right on the #6 pack. When it dries up its fine.
