Default Comp Cams timing set...

i just bought a 7105 comp cams timing set adjustable billet blah blah anyways,


i keep hearing you need to shim this? i also have a melling high volume oil pump is there a trick to this shimming stuff or did they finally make a cover there you dont have to do much? thank you in advance all opinions and answers are welcomed

You have to space the oil pump out if you use a double roller. The timing set should have come with the spacers if it is a double roller. FYI, be careful not to put them on upside down.

heres another question you may know off hand...


lingenfelter gt2-3 camshaft cant tell what bolt it is

like this double roller set is for 1 bolt camshafts?

the cam i have is a lingenfelter gt2-3

im basically asking will it bolt up to it or do i need to sell one of them?

I don't know. I'm pretty sure you can grind just about any cam on either a 3 bolt or single bolt cam. The timing set is obviously a single bolt, so take a look at the cam and see if it has three bolt holes or just one big one.
