Help picking out a cam!
I have a 98 ss with ls6 intake and full exhaust, car is a street car and I hope to be in the 425-450 rwhp range in around four years. I have decided to do a stall install this winter and have decided on a ss3600. I realize this is a little backwards but I was wondering what cam to get eventually that would help me reach my hp goals, but keep the car fun to drive and somewhat "reliable". The car will prolly be on the stall for about a year until I can get a cam so I'm in no hurry.
Sorry for the stupid questions, I'm almost at the point where it's all over my head haha

Call any of the vendors on this site and have them spec you a cam, as well as set you up with the springs and pushrods needed.
With the ls6 intake and a full exhaust, as well as the 3600 stall, you're off to a good start.
What rear gear are you running?

But if I had to guess, I think the Texas Speed 228 single pattern cam on the callies core with their new .600" gentle lobe profiles would really set you straight. The high exhaust ratio of the 241 heads allows those single pattern cams to do good work when paired with a decent exhaust system. They don't make dyno numbers to brag about, but the power under the curve makes them extremely fun.
He said he wants to be at 450-ish rear wheel horsepower within the next few years. It doesn't have to happen with just the cam.
Two years from now he could send his 241's to advanced induction for their welded chambers and 219cc intake runner program... And with a high 22x cam, his intake, his stall, and some AI heads... He is at his goal.
