Do you offer ARP main studs as an upgrade?

 

These are already built, so I couldn't on the ready to ship shortblocks. I could build you another one that used ARP mains though, yes.

Can something like this be done with an ls3 based setup? What would the price difference be?

We can do a 376 or 416 with an ls3, depending g on crank availability we can do a 396 ls3 that is crazy popular for boost. We are looking at closer to 5500 for that

 

What combo gets you a 396 ls3??

Do you offer any kind of warranty?
What kind of power rating does the short block have? That 4" stroke "5140" Callies crank worries me.

We would keep these under 1000hp, as noted its a budget boost build, not an all out monster build shortblock. Budget forged parts for an update grade over stock and to get your compression where it should be to make some good boosted power reliably.

There is nothing to fear from a 5140 crank. As noted, its built for a specific purpose to meet the middle ground that we find so many customers are looking for. We find so many customers throwing a turbo on a stock shortblock and just want a little better build to be more confident in but aren't looking to make outrageous power.


We don't put a warranty on race/boost builds. If something goes wrong right away that is clearly a build problem we will take care of it, but once you introduce boost with tuning and other install issues its out of our hands.
