Milling 241 Heads How much can you mill off a 241 head? I'd like to mill the heads down to a 62cc chamber to get my desired compression ratio. How much would I need to tell the machine shop to take off?
Also by taking this amount off, is this going to weaken the head? Will be ran on boosted application.

I have seen it stated that, generally speaking, .007" is equal to 1cc...
So, you want to go from 66cc to 62cc, that's 4cc difference. 4 x .007 = .028" of deck needs to be milled, if what I have read is accurate.

Yes, all the pistons designed for boost are only 9:1 compression, and i need higher for my application. I'd like to get closer to 10:1 while still having a strong piston for boost and not needing to get a custom piston made.
Because flat top pistons and dish pistons cost the same, so why put in pistons that aren't designed to handle the power I'm shooting for? Plus most flat tops will put me up at almost 11:1 compression.
