Hi, I know there are a million threads about this. But with all of them there and with most saying some things the same and some different, I just wanted to try to get a straight answer. So I know I have to get pushrods, valve springs, timing chain, oil pump. What else should I get if anything. thank you.

Oh just forget the new cam and just buy a new engine. Why install a new cam in a used up motor, I just do not understand that type of thinking.

Joking of course, just visit one of the sponsors sites and look at the cam kit. You pretty much have everything covers minus the crank bolt, fluids and needed gaskets sir 😀. Sorry, too much coffee in the first paragraph 😜

 

Set of new lifters and possibly trunion upgrade, (depending on mileage budget and cam specs) a new cam retaining plate (if the gasket part is smashed),
