Default Time for a rebuild. Options?

Hey all, I have a 99 SS, m6 with 126k.. Had it since about 89k and in the past few months I've noticed more and more oil in my catch can, a bit of a drop in power and as of recent a rear Main leak. Car has an MS3 cam, your typical top end supporting mods for such a cam, 1 7/8th long tubes, 80mm tb, ls6 intake, worked 241s, MTI lid etc. I was leaning towards a 383 assembly for my block, but building a 6.0 has been on my mind too. What are some of the members here running and what would be more cost efficient in the long run? 430ish whp is what I would like to be making. And suggestions are appreciated

You could go with this so you keep the weight the same. http://www.ebay.com/itm/LS1-LS6-Alum...AAAMXQ8odRHA0B

as long as he stays with an aluminum block, the weight will be nearly the same

You can get 430ish power from your motor. Check out the tick torquer stage 2 thread on here. People posted their specs and dyno results. I plan on building the same motor setup you got now but ported 243 heads. And probly tick Cam.
