build question

i have two builds in mind which would be better.

1.441-445 with brian tooley tfs 245 mast 4500 intake llsr cam or hydraulic roller
2.ls3 416 with frh rhs small bore ls7 with mast 4500 llsr cam or hydraulic roller

I vote option 1, LLSR. The additional cubes will make more average power and those heads will certainly be able to feed the motor.

It's probably pretty close. I think those RHS heads are really good, but I don't know if they'll offset that deficit of 20+ cubic inches. Now if those RHS heads went on the 440ci combo...

I say number 1!! TFS heads just don't shine on a shop dyno...... they kick @$$ at the track too.

Yea that's what I really want to do but 5500 on the bottom end and 8500 on the top end is not in the budget right now but I may just wait another year and just do the 441 with the rhs heads

I have some LS7 headed combos fall short of 600 horse at the tire.....
While Vengeance and others was breaking 600 horse at the tire YEARS ago with a nice fat amount of torque down low in the RPM band to boot

all i want to do is run 6.20 or quicker on motor and mid to low 5s on nos thru a 4l80e in a 31-3300lb car street driven and ill be happy with that

i talk to txcamss alot about the setup but im not sure if it would run what i want with the 80e and a stall that will take nos.he has a pg very loose stall

Either cubic inch combo will do it. The bigger engine will do it with less RPM. At those RPMs and power levels I would be looking at the LS7 stuff. I would not bother messing with cathedral at that power level. There is just no point in it. The LS7 format is just superior.
