I'm building a LS3 bottom end with a cathedral top end. It'll have 11.4:1 compression from CNC'd 243's. FAST 102 set up with larger injectors (not sure how much larger) will top it off. My question is with the cam choice. Anyone have a review of their 234/240 .612 .620 113+3 LSA cam? Curious about some notes on it. Anything helps. Thanks! Shooting for 500 rwhp

My cam is 236/242, 612/612, 113+4. With 11.5:1, 4.10 gears and mods in signature it's a really good fit. With your mods it should do well but you could probably get away with a bit more if you wanted to, and still have a very drivable setup

Yes with a good tune it should be very street able. To be honest I have never personally seen someone do LS2 heads on a LS3 bottom end, but if the heads are done by a good porter I'd say close to 500 rwhp is possible

Yeah I went that route for price reasons, as I didnt want to change maifolds, rails, ect. I also read that the cathedral port heads can, in some instances, create higher average power numbers while giving little to no peak gains over the rectangle port LS3's. I am getting a screaming deal on the CNC job on these and if I went LS3 I would not be getting them ported. I'm hoping with 11.4, a cam around that size (maybe slightly larger), and a decent tune, it should belt out near 500 rwhp. Fingers crossed.
