Default Need Help With Cam Decision

I have a 2002 Trans Am, M6, stock bottom end, stock 243 heads, ls6 intake, long tube headers, and 4.10 gears. This car is not a daily driver so driveability is not a concern. I attend to use it as a weekend car and occasionally take it to the track. I also do not want to flycut the pistons. Looking for the most potential power with this setup, let me know your inputs.

Call Martin at Smallwood Racing Development or Kip at Cam Motion and they can hook you up.

You want mild or wild? Wild gives up some down low, and mild gives up some on top

Something around a Cam motion Titan IV(228/232) is the best balance of useable power for a street driven LS1. If the car sees mainly track duty then a 235/242 would be good. I would stay away from comp cams and stick with somebody that actually gives a **** when polishing cam lobes. lol

For off the shelf cams, Tick SNS stage 2 might be a good one for you. It's not really small, and not really big. Makes great power though. But honestly, just call Martin Smallwood and talk with him about your goals. Pay a little extra cash and get a custom grind cam specifically built for your goals. It'll definitely be worth it
