408 guys, need some input
Well my engine threw a rod bolt and messed the bottom end way beyond repair last week. I decided to go with the 408 iron block, to save $$ and not have to worry about sleeve issues. My question to you: Will my ls1 heads fit right onto the block with the ls6 intake? And what about the oil pump, ported ls1, ls6 do the trick? Would the stock ls1 oil pan be ok, or need to go larger?
Any tips would be great, as I am placing the order here next week
Thanx for all your help,
Chris

stock oil pan is ok, can use ported or stock pump, you will want to rework your heads for the bigger bore and dont forget your cr will also go up due to the extra area in each cylinder so you have to account for that too.
