LS1 main caps directional? Help needed!

I was reading in other topics that the mains are powdered metal.

Do the main caps have to go back in the same place as original like a cracked end powdered metal rod? or can main caps be robbed from another motor?
The reason I ask is I found a LS6 block without main caps.

Also are the main caps between LS1/2/6 blocks the same?

I don't think they're powdered metal... Regardless, you can install main caps from another motor, but the mains will need to be align-bored (not cheap).
