Gen 3 Rot Assembly in a Gen 4
I have a Gen 3 6.0 rotating assembly and would like to put it in a Gen 4 Aluminum block, I realize the knock sensor placement and cam sensor is different but is the rotating assembly the same? I plan on using the stock rods and crank with new pistons. Thanks for any info.

You are very vague. The Gen III 6.0 stopped mid 2004.5 year but the early Gen IV 6.0 LQ4 kept the same crankshaft reluctor wheel but got the Gen IV/LQ9 style floating rods.
The Gen III rods and pistons are interchangeable with the Gen IV BUT (with the exception of LQ9 rods which are the same as Gen IV) the Gen IV rods are stronger.
The crankshaft COULD be the same for Gen III as some Gen IV motors. I've had a 2005 LQ4 (Gen IV block) with Gen IV rods and a Gen III crank.
