I know I'm not technically supposed to use these together but I have them on hand already. I have heard a few people get lucky and they seal fine. I grabbed some copper spray and arp studs going to torque to 85lbs. Is there anything else I can do to help them seal? How many of you have actually tried this?

 

I read a thread somewhere it can be done,but the decks were milled a lot.also have read several people tried it and ended up with leaks.honestly i wouldnt chance it.just order the correct gaskets.
or you could have the scallops welded.LPE just did a VJ for me and offered to do this for an extra $50.00 or so.

 

The only MLS I've seen seal up a notched head are the Fel pro MLS permatorque. I think the reason you've seen some get away with it is this. The Fel pro had reliefs in the HG to match the heads so they seal ok

 

i did it but i tigged the relief closed before i had 'em fly cut
