tr224 or tsp224r
I am about to get a cam and I am wanting to know which one I should get. I have some requirements though:
1. I am worried about emmisions (TX)
2. I am not going to do heads
3. This is my daily driver
4. I want it to be somewhat choppy at idle
I already have some thoughts about which one I want. I want either:
1. tr224 114lsa .563 (can I get away with the 112 lsa with a good tune?)
2. tsp224r 114lsa .581 (can I get away with the 112 lsa with a good tune?)
All my mods are in sig. When I do the cam I am also going to get a new pcm from pcmforless.com, so I will not have the HPP3 for tuning anymore. I have heard that the 112 lsa are better for power, but can I pass emissions with it?

agree with jamie, both cams wil make simiar power. though they have the same duration @.050 you'll need to see the @ .006 to really see the ramp rate difference.
also you didnt state what type of emissions you have, if its the sniffer the 112 with a good tune wil pass. if its OBDII then you'll pass with just about anything as long as your not putting out any DTC's.

You can't go wrong with either of those camshafts!! Another camshaft you might consider is our new 225/225 camshaft. Here's a graph of a 225 cam installed in a m6 stock heads car
