Default Aftermarket Valves???

I was wondering what all the big dogs are running for aftermarket valves...

I'm really $hitty at the search thing...I really couldn't find a lot of info about just valves.

I'd like to stay within a reasonable price range, but am open to all suggestions...

Theses will be going in some 243's, on a flat top forged 370". NA for now, but FI or nitrous eventually...

My TEA ls6 243s have Ferrea 2.04 Intake valves and 1.575 exhaust valves on my NA setup.

Are you looking for brands or sizes or both?

Ferrea and Manley make good valves, REV too and they're usually a little cheaper than the other two.

I'm running GM hollow stem 2.165" intake valves and Ferrea 1.55" exhaust valves in my TFS heads, but I'm staying NA. With boost or nitrous, you would probably benefit more by having as big of an exhaust valve as you can fit.

I guess I'm looking for advice on both...mostly thinking brands at first, but advice on sizes is appreciated as well.

Precision Grind & Back Cut Manley Stainless 2.00" & 1.575" Valves. Those are the valves that are in my AI Dart/RHS heads.

The ls6 valves are no longer in production, from what I have heard. In a separate thread discussing valves and coefficient of discharge, there is a point of diminishing returns with increasing intake valve size. Remember, flow goes both ways, so as you increase the valve size, you also increase the chance of reversion.

If considering boost or nitrous, I would definitely get larger exhaust valves, something in the 1.57 or 1.575 range, and I wouldn't go any larger than a 2.02 or 2.04 on the intake.

The sodium filled valves are the exhaust, the intakes are hollow. Are you talking about the intakes?

One option is to turn down LS3 hollow intakes to a smaller diameter to fit a cathedral head.

It's going to be awhile till I go FI, but I suppose I should be looking at something like the Manley #11675-8 Extreme duty Pro Flow exhaust's...???

I'm a "cheap a$$" so paying more for half the valves I need for 2 heads, than I did for the 243's to begin with, well let's just say it might be hard to slip that one by the Ol' lady...

You can usually find the REV hollow stem valves for cheaper than the other brands. I have not heard anything bad about the REV valves either.

I have turned down LS3 valves in my heads... 2.04" intake. And Ferrea 1.575" exhaust valves.
