I heard Patriot has made some recent updates/improvments over the time their heads have been in production. Can someone please list these and around what time.

-what size valves are they using now in the stg 2...2.055/1.65?
My old PP heads had 2.02/1.57 that I bought in Feb of 2004
-any port work changes?
-any combustion chamber changes or updates?

As with any product that is new...I like to hear of the progress they are making.

 

I'd be interested to know also...I purchase mine back in Jan 04'.

 

From what I understand 2.02/1.57 are standard.. optional is a 2.055/1.60. I don't know of a 1.65 exhaust being offered.

 

Well the Raceheads are a update I guess you could say.

I got My Race Heads with the 2.055 and 1.60.
And all hand finished, they look very nice.

I got mine in about 2-3 weeks ago.

 

i think the std s2 heads have stayed the same for a while now...other than the seal updates & dual gold springs which even those have been a while now. Im pretty sure the std valves are 2.02/1.57 still unless you get the race version @ $400 more those come with 2.05/1.6 valves if im not mistaken.

 

The stage 2 5.3l heads are the same.

LS6 heads have made some changes:
They now come standard with 2.055/1.57 valves
The Race Options is now available direct from Patriot
The chambers have been recently updated

those are a sweet looking pair of cylinder heads and may i ask how you got the free upgrade?

i have the invoive sitting in front of me. say
part #== 63-stg2-ls6
description == pp stage II ls6 cylinder heads w/72cc chambers
rate == 1795
got free shipping because at that time texas speed was offering that as a special.

i was told 2 weeks from start to the day i would recieve them...took about 2 extra weeks longer so i thought it was a free upgrade for missing their due date?

maybe i do have stage 2 heads but the plastic bags say stage 3.

how do i check?

 

Mine came marked for a ls6 head when I ordered the 5.3. I called Terry and he told me that the guys that package them up don't know the difference and sometimes mismark them. He checked the order and confirmed that i got what i asked for.

 

I am changing the design for the LOGO.Coming soon the logo will be on the ends of the heads.

I have the TSP/PP Race Heads, I would have to say if you have a little extra money these heads work great. My dyno sheet is posted in the dyno forum and the car runs consistent 10.9's (best pass in sig) in the Texas heat and humidity. I'm looking for mid 10's this winter with this setup. Not bad for a daily driver

 

Stage 1 heads have the stock valves, valve springs, and retainers. Your Stage 2 heads will come with the Patriot "Gold" series double valve springs as well as titanium retainers.
