Default When to consider rebuilding lq4

I have 01 2500 HD 6.0 with 270k original miles. It goes thur about 1 quart oil every 3000 miles. It also has original transmission any thoughts when to start thinking about rebuild

I'd just wait until it blows up and buy a new long block or junkyard motor.

Just because it's burning or leaking oil and has 270k on it, doesn't mean it can tick on for another 100k before catastrophic failure occurs.

Let her eat until it pops. Grab a spare motor for a $1000 and swap it when it goes.
