more exhaust duration helps with nitrous as well.
There are pros and cons to both.
for instance, I have the TR230 (230/224). I wasnt setup for the max of this cam because i had a very restictive exhaust system at the time, which was eating my power. because the exhaust duaration is less, this cam likes a very free flowing exhaust system to get the gases out quickly..if that helps
