Default Cylinder head problems

I have some cylinder heads that were on my t/a. I took them off because the guys that did my motor mods screwed everything up.They are ported and milled 317 castings. The valves were too big(2.08") intake. Anyway, I took them off because someone tightened the rocker arm bolts with a breaker bar.A couple of them stripped in the heads.

Here is a picture of the exhaust bolt hole. Can this be welded or put some type of helicoil. How would these be fixed? How
much trouble would it be ?

The end exhaust bolt hole looks to be too big now for an 8mm Time-cert. Weld them up and re drill them, many machine shops can do this.

Just buy a $30 helicoil Kit from autozone

The next size up from the stock 8mm thread is a 10mm x 1.5 pitch

It should work, you'll just have to drill open the bolt hole on the header flange as well to accommodate the bigger bolt

Default

Use a heavy duty Keensert. It has a large outside diameter. Drill, tap, install Keensert, and you are done.
