Default what would you do?

Im 35,.have two young girls. I have owned.my 1998 z28 convertable for 5 years. My uncle was the original owner. I have 13k original miles. I'm bored and want to spice up the car a bit. Im I'm thinking of doing heads and a cam. I dont drag race or autocross. I dont need 500 hp. In fact I could care less what the HP is. I have ls6 intake ar headers, lid and magnaflow car back.

I want the grin factor. What combo is just fun. Something that barks when I want it to. As of now im thinking a 228 cam eith afr 205s.

Thanks much!

Actually the combo you're considering sounds pretty darn good based on what you've mentioned

thats a popular cam for exactly the type of power you say you're looking for. plenty of guys report strong results with well thought out/simple 228ish combos

That'd be a great combo. Suggest upgrading lifters while headers are off. And go to larger OD pushrods. Something that would make a great streetable cam would be like a 228/232-114+2. Just enough overlap to chop and sound cool but not so much as to be a pain in the *** to drive
