Default Connecting rod bolt type??

I'm building my first LQ 6.0. Reading my assembly book it reads the early style rod bolts to torque then dial to 60* ...later bolts with a step shank 75* My bolts somewhat appear like the early style without the "threads" . So what degree do I use ?? Thanks all its my first "new" engine in almost 30 years. I've built many early, early version small and big block Chevrolet.

His bolts are early style. No stepped shoulder on the shank.

But IMHO, just invest in ARPs and call it good. Can't go wrong for $100. I hate this TTY garbage. Made me spend over a grand in good Tq wrenches just to work on the sumbitches with stock bolts.

I try to replace all the TTY stuff I can.
