Question New Engine build

hello all its been awhile since ive needed help, so here we go, i have just finished building a modded ls1 for my 2001 trans am. my question is i have went from stock 26lb fuel injectors to 42 lb injectors. The mods are as follows
1. replaced stock 241 heads with port and polished 243 heads flowing at 61cc chambers.
2. installed a custom grind cam specs. 228/237 114LSA .626/.626
3. long tube 1 7/8" to 3" collectors.
I have ran the engine for about 5 min. i have been told that if i do not tune the pcm to the new injectors that i will wash excess fule down the cylinder walls and possibly damage the rings and dilute the oil. Any information on this would be great and also by running the engine for the 5 min will i have damaged anything.

If the computer isn't reprogrammed for the larger injectors, yeah, you could wash the rings out.

Vendors told me I'd be fine with idling or even driving it easy (low rpm). I drove mine around town a few times and 25 minutes to my tuner when I swapped to bigger injectors, heads, intake, etc. Just don't go WOT or anything close until you're tuned.

He's in Milford and he's my tuner. He does phenominal work, and could probably help you in the right direction. Worth a shot if you're interested

Get a tune...don't drive around or run it on stock injector parameters no matter if somebody said they have. If anything you can get a base tune from a sponsor here such as LSX power tuning and then take it to a dyno shop.

defiantly need a good start tune at a min to not risk damage to your new engine. 5 min is a long time.
check the oil for fuel wash/smell
change it out to some good break in oil and get your start tune in the vehicle

his base tune will get the car up on its feet and drive-able. It will be safe to drive until you can get it fully tuned.
