Default Possible to get a borescope to lifter/cam lobe?

Anyone able to get a scope in to inspect for lifter or cam damage without pulling cam/heads? push rod or drain hole access maybe?

Depending on which block, you can pull the valley cover and see the cam.

With the valley cover off you can see the end of the cam, but not the center part
My scope won't bend sharp enough to see much on the cam.

I don't think I could see much with my home borescope, but the one I used to borrow from work that had an articulating head the would rotate 90 degrees and used a laser for a light source might do it. I agree, valley cover is really the only easy path.

Have you listened with a stethoscope? Can you narrow it down to one of the front or back cylinders? If it is, the chances of successfully using the scope will be much better.

Thanks all, found bearing material in the filter so it's gotta come out anyway.

I was gonna say cut the oil filter open...that usually tells all you need to know.
