2002 TA rebuild? Or not?

2002 TA rebuild? Or not?

Hey guys I'm new to the whole ls1 scene. However I do have decent car experience. I'll keep this brief. I recently acquired a 2002 ta ws6. It has 200000 miles on it. The body is in surprisingly great shape and still drives fairly well. But it has no power at all. I mean my wife's kia has more grunt than this thing. So my question is. Is the block and heads still going to be able to be used in a rebuild kit if I just send the block to be honed and have a little head work done? Or should I try to find a low milage junkyard motor to tinker with?

Use what you have unless you can find a Cost-effective 6.0 with decent miles or a 5.3 if you plan boosting it.... If none of the above I'd rebuild what you already have..

Will a 6.0 easily fit in a 02 transfer am ? I was wanting to avoid forced induction. It has been years since I have messed with turbos. Has reliability and longevity improved in recent years?

Yes the 6.0 will fit. No difference in size. Its what I went to when my 5.7 gave out

Yes, They have improved my leap and bounds. But also if you're going to go with a 6.0 make sure you know the year of the block.
