Lol. That is funny.

Car looks like it's running strong man. When are you going back to the track? Any plans? Nice build

What was the oil pressure with the pinched O-ring? hot/cold idle and on the throttle? My 5.3 has 150k on it and I swapped to a fbody oil pan. My oil pressure is like 40 cold and 20hot idle but goes to 40 as soon as the throttle is touched... this is with cheap vavoline dyno 5w20 oil. Just hoping I didn't pinch the oring during the install like you. Or maybe I just need to run a thicker oil as I have no many miles and my valvetrain is sewing machine like lol. I run a supercharger and love the boost!

These values are with rotella 15-40, cold 55-60....warm cruise 40ish.....very hot idle it would dip to 10-15....and cruise around 30. Valvetrain would very loud as well. After I got it back together....Very hot it idles at 22psi.....and cruises around 50psi. But keep in mind that my bearing clearances are a touch loose.

The 22psi hot idle doesn't scare you? I personally dont like anything under 30psi hot idle an nothing less than 40 on the throttle as a min. I feel like going from a 5w20 to a 10w30 or 20w50 would add a few PSI. I know given on tolerances I wouldn't run a 20w50 but maybe a 10w30/20w50 mix as high mileage motors have looser tolerances.

22psi very hot idle doesn't scare me in the least. The crank will float with 10psi. It's the high rpm pressure that matters most to me. Even with the garbage pressure I had before I tore it down, there were no signs of scuffing on any of the bearings. I have a good oil pump with high volume, so I know the motor is well oiled.

Gotcha, I read the HV pumps aren't a great idea due to oil capacity and drainage of the LS motors. GM peformance as them for cheap!

Motor is equipped with a Moroso 7qt pan, have yet to pump it dry.
