What he said... For the sake of not letting Brad figure this out I'll be working closely with A_A_Ron to finish this. Thank you all for your support and help. This just shows why the car entusiast community is so amazing. If I can do anything to repay any of the knowledge/help you guys have given me, please let me know!
It was good talking with you A_A_RON. It looks like we will have most of the motors components covered. Looking forward to getting the list so we can start checking things off. Keep us updated Jaxson as things progress. This is a pretty exciting thing going on here.

If they are a better starting point for CNC/rebuild, I have 853s, 862s, and probably some 241s sitting around that are free to the project. I still like the idea of rectangle-port better, but look forward to seeing what you guys come up with.
I also have some PSI 1511MLs with only dyno time on them that I'll toss up either way if you don't end up with a cam that needs more spring.

I really can't begin to express my gratitude to you all. This has been an eye opening experience. The help and ideas that you guys have given is something myself nor Brad (even though he doesn't know it yet) will never forget.
This is awesome that you are doing this for you friend. And I love how guys are stepping up to help out with the build. Your a stand up guy by not asking for freebies (this happened on this site before with much debate from a lot of people) and you are wanting to pay for them.
BUT, put up a list of things you guys need and your going to get a lot of people offering parts for free or near free. I have some stuff or sale and some stuff lying around that I will not be using. I'll see what I have that can help you guys out with this build.

Here's a little update. The engine went to the machine shop today. My block had a crack in it near the seat of one of the head bolts so A_A_Ron donated his LQ4 block. I'm going to get mine checked to see if it can be fixed so I can repay him with my block. Super 6 sent me an awesome Mellings oil pump. A_A_Ron also donated his 317 heads and Kyle from Thompson Motorsports is hooking them up as we speak with their amazing touch. Also, Kyle has been on the prowl for a solid rotating assembly to help us out.
There are many others that have offered valuable advice as well as well wishes and prayers. All of these make us all very happy. This group has been nothing short of spectacular!
The original plan was to have this ready by the end of September. Hopefully we can still reach that goal. We still haven't addressed the terrifying wiring situation haha. I think a stand alone from Painless is the route we are going.
Anyways that's where we are. Keep an eye out and I will do my best to keep y'all up to date!

Here's the block, the heads (as they were being sent to Thompson Motorsports), the oil pan which I hope to use again and a few other parts. Going to try to salvage as much as possible. What parts do y'all think would be OK to save and use?

I am a 100% disabled vet and I volunteer at the va hospital here in providence R.I. and I would like to say. You are one hell of a friend, I see these kids coming home all f@#$ up physically and mentally. So what your doing for him is awesome. It just reassures me that there is still good in this world. I would like to say THANK YOU from all the vets.
