Default Need Advice

So im in the middle of rebuilding my 5.3 it came with 706 heads with the castech logo and they need a valve job bad! I can get the valve job done but my question is if its worth it? Since some say these are weak heads. The thing is im on a budget and dont want to end up spending more in the future. I was quoted $175 for the valve job and they will also check for cracks and pressure test them. I can get used 799/243 heads for 350-400 but then i would have to mill them and most likely a valve job for them as well, more money spent but i will have good long lasting heads, thanks in advance.

In the hands of the same porter the 5.3 is only down about 10 hp over the 243 head

Ok so as long as the castech 706 heads check out with no cracks already then go for it? Thats what i was worried about.. all the talk about how they are prone to cracking

I run 862 PRC 5.3 heads, and never had a single issue. If they check I'd do it
