Default Can't have everything!

I had my car dynoed last year and put down some good #'s. The operator was impressed and said this was a strong car. I did research and found out that some of these cars came with LS6 blocks(01-02). Well when performing the drill mod yesterday I checked the casting # and found these last three 378. Guess I did not get one of those 168 blocks. I can't imagine what my numbers would be if I had that. So I gues I'm half lucky. More reason to build a motor I gues.

Your numbers wouldn't be any different. A different block (slightly stronger) won't give you more power.

The LS6 block has less parasitic drag on the crank and lower crankcase pressure. WIll you see this on a dyno? Maybe not but it was designed with power in mind.
