Quick Cam Question
I am building a 5.3 LM7 engine, and will be using a LSA supercharger on it. I was thinking a LS9 camshaft would probably work pretty well with it, plus it is 1/3 the cost of an aftermarket cam.
Can I swap it in with out issues? (wasn't sure if the cams were different with the different cam position sensors etc..)
I do seem to recall GM switched the cam sensor position from back to front during one generational evolution, just not sure when that happened.
Good luck in your search.
The LS9 cam makes horrible low end power. Not to mention you have to run a Gen 4 cam gear and timing cover with the cam sensor built into it. In the end, you end up spending almost as much as if you had bought a real cam that makes more power and torque.
