Quick Cam Question

I'm looking at a few different camshafts for my bone stock 5.7 ls1 and my question is what do I need to put a 5.3 or 6.0 cam in my engine. I don't want to go aftermarket and I'm not in it for the power right now, I just want a factory camshaft and that's it, I just need to know if I need 7.4" pushrods, I have new lifters and have the trunion upgrade with no emissions, that's all that been done, thank you in advance.

Shouldn't be anything new needed really. Just make sure the camshaft you pick up is not from one of the late model 5.3 or 6.0 engines that comes equipped with AFM or VVT.

keep in mind the factory valve springs are the ls1 weak spot , i had fluttering at 5700 rpm stock. fyi i went with a stock ls6 2002 cam and now i wish i went a bit bigger. i did add ls6 springs. goodluck.
