ls1 24x wont start
I used the custom option to move the timing 50 degrees (wasn't sure which way.. so I tried both) .. and it DID NOT MOVE ... at all.. anyone please any ideas ?
Thus, trust what I state.
The GM 58x is set on the 13th tooth with normal "trim" of +1.75*.
This MUST be verified by TDC timing light "0" mesurement.
I hope you marked the timing cover when the ATI was fitted.
My ECU will also run the GM 24xe Crankshaft Pattern even with NO CAS.
This "non-CAS" operation is not always at the correct timing, only a "fail safe" mode.
The reason is that there ARE 24 teeth on the CT, EVENLY spaced.
The CAS should be "one" pole, or "half moon".
Would this be the one you have fitted?
Where is the CAS, what is the wiring position of power/gound, they are a reverse of each other when front/back connectors are interchanged.
What is the color of your CS ?
WHAT you found my be true with respect to the Spark Instant THOUGH each tooth is ONLY 15 degrees (24/360) thus max trim COULD ONLY BE fifteen degrees.
Your measurement = three teeth off which is impossible.
My guess for a fix IS the test of your CAS, wiring and index.
