need quick help with heads i just purchased a complete ls1 for my 95 jeep wrangler. i am hunting for as much torque as possible
will be streeted and offroad.
5.3 bored with 5.7 pistons, engine has mahle pistons, gen 4 rods, stock crank, fully studded, btr springs and cam.
i am doing a cam swap with a custom grind for my application. engine currently has 706's that have been hand ported and polished, mostly just gasket matched and cleaned up with btr springs and retainers, comp 1.8 roller rockers.
i have a set of 799's that have been milled .030 on my shelf. great shape heads. are the heads worth the swap? can i just copper spray the head gaskets and re use? this engine is completely new and never started
my build is N/A. just curious if i should swap the goodies over to my 799's and bolt them on for a little more gain

I'd run the 799's over 706's as long as it didn't have any ptv clearance issues with the cam you put in it. Have you already used your head gaskets before? If so, then I'd just buy new ones. I'm sure people have done it without problems, but it's a new build and you're only talking about $100 +/-.
