Default cam identification

Can anyone tell me what cam this is?
i cant seem to find any info on it

That's a #1721 at the top identifying it as a factory 6.0 or "late" 01-04 LS1 camshaft.

Specs are 196/208 .467/.479 116-1 lsa

It would be a decently mild upgrade for a 4.8/5.3 engine.

I also have a early ls1 ca. 0965
Specs are 198/209 .500 / .500 119.5 lsa

Which cam would be a better option for a mild 5.3 cam upgrade?

That really depends on the rest of your setup. Both cams will be very mild in the 5.3. The 0965 has a later intake closing which will help it make a little more top end horsepower at the sacrifice of a little low end and mid-range tourqe over the 1721.

What's the rest of your setup look like? Weight, final drive gearing, and transmission all play a significant role in cam selection.

The engine is goin into a 68 shortbox c10 that I'm converting to all wheel drive.
weight is around 4k, final gearing i think will be 3.73 and using a 4l60e transmission

​​​​​​go with the 1721. The 9065 would be slower in that heavy thing.
