Default Cracked #2 main cap

Hey guys I finally got the crank pulley off and everything torn apart. I noticed on the #2 main cap there are 2 small cracks across the bearing surface. I've seen a few others on other forums with the same main cap cracking. Is this just a manufacturing issue?? #2 was the only main cracked all the others were in good shape and no spun bearings. I've got another set of main caps were gonna try out. The core was an 06 6.0L LQ4 with 78,000 miles on it

Nice. I've never seen that before but I certainly wouldn't try to use it.

What's the story with the core?

Was it run low on oil? or did it have oil pressure issues?

Was it hydro locked?

Was it even complete when you got it?

I'm not really sure what the whole story is behind the motor I bought it off a guy on kijiji for $300. I'm thinking it lost oil pressure the rod bearings were toast and chewed apart. Plus there was a broken piston ring land. Bottom of oil control ring cylinder 7. I've already got the block checked out today actually and there's nothing wrong structurally everything come out to spec. I seen another guy with the same main and same issue on the corvette forums too. Called a few places and was told it's most likely just production variances.
