Timing Chain/ Dampener Recommendations for Road Course Use? Hello all, im looking into upgrading my LS6 timing chain to LS2 and adding a timing chain dampener from trick flow

car will be used for road course racing so there will be high revs and banging gears.
I was wondering if LS2 chain and dampener combo mentioned above were appropriate for my application.
For rest of the engine,
2002 LS6 crate engine
239 cam, 601/ 604 lift
7956 Comp Push Rods 7.450 .080
Comp Rocker Bearing Trunion Kit 13702-kit
ATI Super Damper Harmonic Balancer - 917277
Improved Racing oil pan baffle
Melling 10295 High Pressure Oil Pump
Samburg custom sub-frame and transmission brace.
Samburg custom aluminum radiator / air intake
MSD 8.5mm Super Conductor Spark Plug Wires
Turn one power steering pump
7/8" long tube headers (JTR) to custom fab single exhaust.

Should be fine with a chain damper....I have read of dual chain setups breaking road racing without a damper, so I believe that is a far more critical part then the actual chain itself. The LS2 piece is plenty strong for most builds, but nothing wrong with spending a little extra on the IWIS or C5R chain either if it helps you sleep at night.
iWiS with L-92 Damper The GM "team" cars that went to France (24 HR Race) used an iWiS single chain.
My task is also a LONG race such as BAJA racing and Air Boats.
I have fitted the L-92 VVT Tensioner with good results when the spring is upgraded.
