Default Tapered ring compressor

Will a 99 mm wiseco ring compressor work ok on a stock bore LM7. It is half the price of an ARP 3.900.

I use the Summit brand adjustable one. Works great. PN SME-90A3700.

I used a tapered ring compressor and if your finished bore is not larger than the tapered end it won't be a perfect fit and will not seat in the bore. Meaning, the advertised diameter of the tool compared to the finished diameter of the block bore will not be the same. May not fit perfectly like it should. I will likely go with an adjustable one for the next build.

Default Atech Adjustable Ring Compressors

I TOO use the Atech "adjustable" tapered tools @ 25.00 each.

BEST tool for ring installation EVER MADE.

There design has a "range" of similar bore sizes, same tool.
